Divine Deliverance
He thanked God for His goodness and protection towards his family and himself and also of God sparing him from the shame that the devil tried to bring upon him and his legitimate business.

In the month of June/July 2002, the pastor of the Dulwich Life Centre called the leaders in the church including Bro Benny to inform them that he wasn't comfortable in his spirit as it appears that some trials are about to befall some leaders in the church. According to Bro Benn, the Lord delivered him from going to prison unnecessarily. Sometime last year at about 4 O clock in the afternoon, someone dressed as a DHL staff (an undercover police officer) showed up at his shop with a DHL parcel. Because it was a busy afternoon, Bro Benn asked one of his staff to sign for the parcel without paying attention to what could possibly be the content. The parcel actually bore the name of one of Bro Benns customers who occasionally sends and receives fax in the shop. And so Bro Benn acted on the assumption that this customer probably requested for the parcel to his attention using the shop's or office address. One the day of this incident, two former staffs showed up at the shop. One came 3 hours earlier and pretended to be surfing the net at the basement where this shop was located. Meanwhile, she secretly communicated on the mobile phone with the parcel's sender.

Unknown to Bro Benn, this woman knew about the parcel and had apparently being expecting it to arrive at the shop. When the parcel arrived, she still didn't give any indication that it was connected with her. Not quite after this, the second lady showed up with her baby. She pretended that she and the first lady had agreed to meet at the shop before taking her baby to the hospital. Once again, Bro Benn still didn't realise that the two women had colluded on how to retrieve the parcel from him after having it sent to his shop. Now because of the familiarity or friendliness (as a former staff) of the second lady with Bro Benn, the treacherous and dubious first lady asked her to use this influence to talk him into handing the parcel over to the second lady on the pretence that the second lady's brother used the address. When told, Bro Benn wasn't impressed and warned the second woman that in future under no circumstance should his office address be used for that kind of purpose.

He ignored this whole saga and gave the parcel to the second lady still not realising the implication of what he's been forced into or the content of the parcel. Up till now readers would be wondering what this parcel is all about. The parcel actually contains COCAINE. Worth about £50,000 Unknown to everyone, the police were actually monitoring what was going on. Surveying the premises of the shop including movements and in and out of everybody from the shop. Five minutes after their departure from the shop, the two ladies were arrested on the street. About tens minutes later, 8 police officers swooped in on his shop and carried out checks. Ordering staffs to stay still and quiet. Checked all papers, mobile phone records and others. The officers were very mad with the staffs that they were dealt with unpleasantly. They were eventually taken to the police station and shut up in cells. While Bro Benn and his staff spent their night in the cell, the police were busy ransacking their homes for clues of any dealing with drugs. While in the cell, Bro Benn prayed to God saying "you God that can deliver. In this situation you will deliver me out of it". And God gave him calmness and his mind was put to rest and he even slept off between 2 am and 6: 30 am. The police carried on with the investigation and looking into other intimate areas of the Benn's family lifestyle. By the evening of the next day, the police released them and also put their mind at ease assuring them that the investigations so far reveals that Bro Benns business at the shop was legitimate and that they had no dealing with the cocaine matter and that they are free to go. Bro Benn share this testimony in the church expressing his gratitude to God for rescuing him from this terrible trial that could have brought shame on him, put a smire on his Christian testimony and ruined his livelihood.
